At a global level, the Oracle Grid Index has risen to 5.2 from its previous value, in April 2005, of 4.4. All of the underlying indices making up the overall Grid Index – Foundation Readiness, Knowledge & Interest and Adoption Lifecycle – show increases in all geographies, indicating steady progress of mainstream activity towards the implementation of modern dynamic Information Technology (IT) infrastructures.Vickyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04915090805321724075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11443447.post-1130447668926600052005-10-27T14:14:00.000-07:002005-10-27T14:14:00.000-07:00You are right on th spot!It is What YOU said it is...You are right on th spot!<BR/>It is What YOU said it is!!ravenIIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14640659882573939563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11443447.post-1130261802734082562005-10-25T10:36:00.000-07:002005-10-25T10:36:00.000-07:00Oracle seems to have a different view of the word ...Oracle seems to have a different view of the word "grid" than everyone else in the grid computing world. It is cool technology, but it's basically a clustered database, right? It's got great QoS and is scaleable (traits it shares with grid computing), but it's not running on heterogeneous commodity computers across a dynamic network -- that's the hallmark of true "grid" computing.Dan Cirulihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05765617047884197704noreply@blogger.com
